| Product Features | This is a very high fashion tilt hat from the 1940s' made of cinnamon colored felt. It is a flat, round structure. The sides are attached to the top and bottom of the structure with lighter colored topstitching. The top has a smaller circle sewn into it at the center, and the bottom has an opening so it shuts on top of the head. There is an elastic attached to the inside to hold the hat in a tilted position. There are magnificent large brown ostrich feathers projecting upwards and sideways, plus a jewel at the center. This is truly a showstopper!Tilt hats were popular in the 1930s and 1940s. They were worn at an angle and held to the back of the head by a strap, rigid ring, elastic band beneath the hair, or a combination of these.
