| Product Features | This antique French oyster plate presents a sculptural shell-form composition with six deeply modeled oyster wells arranged around a raised central well. The surface is rendered in a restrained grey–blue–green palette, with softly brushed blue-gray shading within the wells and muted green dividers radiating outward, evoking the natural coloration of oyster shells and coastal stone. A narrow gilt ring encircles the center, providing a subtle focal point without interrupting the overall tonal harmony.Measuring 9 in diameter, the plate exhibits fine modeling, balanced proportions, and a luminous glaze characteristic of late 19th to early 20th century French porcelain intended for formal oyster service. The underside bears a red maker’s mark with the initials “P D.” Condition is mint, with no chips, cracks, or restorations noted.
