FAQ
How does laser hair removal work?
Laser hair removal helps to break the hair growth cycle by damaging the hair follicle, disrupting the cycle and prevents new hair from growing back in the treated area.
The hair follicle needs to be in the active growth phase of the cycle for the laser to work. Since different hair follicles in an area are in growth phases at different times, laser hair removal is typically performed in a series of treatments, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, to produce the most thorough reduction of hair in an area. The exact number of treatments you may need depends on the thickness and density of the hair, the size and location of the area being treated, and your personal goals and anatomy. Typically, about 6 to 8 treatments are the norm.
How many sessions will I need?

Who is an ideal candidate for Diolaze Laser Hair Removal?
It is not effective at removing red, light blonde or gray hair. It can be done on all skin colors.
Is there any downtime?
Immediately after the treatment the skin will look pink and slightly swollen, similar to sunburn, and raised red bumps (similar to mosquito bites) will appear. This will subside within 72 hours and the skin will return to normal. Occasionally, a patient will have temporary pigment changes, blistering or scabbing. In the unlikely event of blistering, we recommend keeping the area moist with bacitracin.
How soon will I see laser hair removal results?
Typically, people experience a 90 percent reduction in hair in the treated areas. Following each treatment in a series, you will notice less hair growing back in an area, and the hair that does regrow is often finer and softer than before. When you have completed the desired number of treatments, skin will be smoother and free of unwanted hair. While certain things may make hair grow back in an area eventually, including certain medications, hormone fluctuations, or other conditions, the typical patient enjoys many years of hair-free skin.
