These works are characterized by bold, gestural marks that express action. In this work, two large swathes of pewter and steel blue form the background. Strong marks and faint lines in cerulean, burnt orange, and chalk punctuate the work's surface. The rich contrast of neutral tones is vivisected by a bold display of abstract forms.
